Fine Payments and Payment Plans
Fine Amounts
Within 10 working days after you receive your ticket, the issuing agency will deliver a copy of your ticket to us. At that time, we will mail a courtesy notice to you at the address shown on the ticket. This notice will inform you of the bail, or fine, amount and provide other important information. If your address is not correct on the ticket, please wait 10 business days after you receive the ticket before you call us, as we cannot provide any information until we receive and process your ticket. Your appearance date will be filled in by the officer when he gives you the ticket. You MUST either pay the ticket or come to our office to make other arrangements on or before the appearance date even if you do not receive a courtesy notice. Please note that you may pay your ticket at any time after you receive the courtesy notice as long as it is on or before the appearance date indicated on the ticket.
Payment Plans
If you would like to make monthly payments on your ticket, you must come to our office on or before your appearance date. Payment arrangements cannot be made by telephone or mail. When you come in, you will be referred to Revenue & Recovery to make payment arrangements. Please note that Revenue & Recovery will add a $35 set-up fee to your bail, or fine, amount for processing the monthly payments.
60-day extension
If you are unable to pay the bail, or fine, amount on or before your appearance date, you may request one 60-day extension to pay. To do so, you must either come to the clerk’s office or request an extension by mail or by fax BEFORE the appearance date on your ticket. If you request an extension by mail or fax, you must include your name, address, and case number in the letter. Our fax number is (530) 749-7351. Only one 60-day extension can be granted
Redlight Camera Tickets
Like all traffic citations, red light camera tickets are issued by a law enforcement agency, not the Court. The Court treats a red light camera ticket like all other traffic tickets. However, due to interest of the public, we have a page dedicated to redlight tickets. Click here for more information.
